Those visiting the Emirate of Abu Dhabi during the beginning September will have the privilege of attending a unique exhibition, truly one of a kind: the 2013 Abu Dhabi International Hunting & Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX). This Exhibition will be held from the 4th – 7th September 2013 in halls 5 to 12 of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) which is located close to the city as well as the international airport.

Launched ten years ago in 2013, the event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and is organised by the Emirates Falconer’s Club. This year’s edition of the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition is shaping up to be an amazing event with a number of special features, highlights and a series of competitions. The Exhibition will host an Equestrian Show, a Camel Auction and also provide entertainment in the form of live Folklore Dances. Further, the Exhibition will be conducting a Falcon Beauty Contest, a Nabati Poetry Competition, an Art and Photography Competition, a Saluki Beauty Contest and an Arabic Coffee Brewing Competition. Other highlights of this event include an Archery Range and a Cultural Heritage Village in keeping with the Exhibition’s theme of ‘Tradition’.

As ADIHEX is the only outdoor sports exhibition in the region, it is expected to attract over one hundred thousand visitors and those staying at Abu Dhabi hotels during this period and wish to attend this event can register online at their website and discover new things about hunting and equestrian products, see live performances, enter competitions and even try their hand at archery.

When visiting the Emirate, the ADIHEX exhibition is sure to allow tourists to immerse themselves in the local culture as the exhibition strives to assert traditional outdoor sports and activities. When so immersing oneself in the Emirati culture, staying in luxury hotels Abu Dhabi would undoubtedly increase its efficacy. For instance, opting to stay at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara, surrounded by golden sandy dunes, will allow them to appreciate the diverse landscape and in turn understand the cultural markers of Abu Dhabi.
