Bali is probably the most well-known of Indonesia’s many islands. Home to some of the most amazing beaches in the world, it is the preferred holiday destination of many globetrotters. The Nusa Dua Festival is one popular event that takes place in Nusa Dua in South Bali.
The Nusa Dua Festival is a Bali staple, being held every year since 1997. The festival was started to make Bali a more attractive tourist destination and it has now become equally popular among the locals as well as the foreigners. The festival is based on a theme which changes from year to year, although some parts of it remain the same. Tourists interested in learning more about the island’s culture, and those who want to experience Indonesia’s traditional music and dances, are sure to enjoy taking part.
The festival typically takes place sometime between the months of August and September, and all tourists on the island during this time should make it a point to take part in the joyous celebrations. The festival lasts several days with different activities scheduled for each day. In 2013, the festival will take place in August and will last for a week. Visitors will be able to spend their time listening to music, dancing and sampling the delicious local cuisine.
Nusa Dua is one of the most popular tourist regions in Bali. It is a peninsula and is surrounded by amazing beaches on three sides. It is a terrific spot to try out surfing, scuba diving, snorkelling and other water sports. Although there is no particular season to visit the place, many prefer to come here during the summer as there is less rain.
