Posted onThailand has announced the launch of a new campaign called the Summer Festivals, with the aim of increasing tourism and supporting the creative economy. The festival runs from March to April and is planned across seven segments: Songkran, culture, music, sports, food, art, and creative events.
Maha Songkran World Water Festival 2025
One of the main events of the Summer Festivals, the Maha Songkran World Water Festival, will be held from 11–15 April at Sanam Luang in Bangkok.
Thai Culture
The festival strives to bring Thai culture to light, so it’s a great opportunity for tourists to enjoy traditional performances, crafts, and local customs that make Thailand such a delightful destination. Also, those who visit have a treat in store, as shopping malls like MBK Center will be enticing visitors with various promotions in Bangkok.
Music and Food
The Summer Festivals focus on Thai heritage, but there will be a modern touch too. Live music, street food, and food festivals will bring the event more in line with modern times.
Regional Tourism
The Summer Festivals will be held in both cities and smaller towns. The goal is to spread the benefits of tourism across the country. It’s a great opportunity to boost the local economy, and Thailand plans to make the most of it.
